This website is owned and operated by Fidelity & Guaranty Life Insurance Company, or one of its affiliates (collectively, "F&G,” “we,” “our” or “us”). This “Privacy Policy” applies to our collection, use and sharing of your non-identifying information on any websites that we own and control, any online service, including any website or ‎mobile application, that posts a link to this Privacy Policy, as well as any interactive features, ‎widgets, plug-ins, applications, content, downloads and other services that we may own and ‎control and make available through any websites that we own and control (collectively, the ‎‎“Website”), regardless of how you access or use them, whether via personal computers, mobile ‎devices or otherwise.

In addition to reading this Privacy Policy, please review the Website Terms which governs your use of the Website. By using the Website, you consent to our Privacy Policy and Website Terms and consent to our collection, use and sharing of your information as set forth below.

This Privacy Policy may be revised periodically at any time. It is your responsibility to review ‎carefully the current terms and conditions of use that govern your continued use of the Website. ‎When we modify this Privacy Policy we will update the Effective Date. What information does F&G collect?

F&G collects both personal identifying and non-identifying information from you in several ways, including when you choose to share such information with us by entering it through our Website and by using automated processes.

1. Information You Provide to Us

We may ask you and you may choose to provide certain personal identifying information to us, such as your first and last name, age, email address, mailing and billing address, citizenship status, gender, ethnicity, veteran status, work history, investment information, Social Security number, and disability status. We may collect this information in various places, including account registration forms, insurance applications, job application forms, “contact us” forms or in other parts of the Website.

2. Automated Information Collection

We may automatically collect certain personal non-identifying information from your computer, mobile phone tablet or other device when you visit our Website. This personal non-identifying information may include your IP address (or other unique device identifier, including one that we may assign); certain details about your browser, operating system, and hardware; your location, if available; the URL that referred you to the Website; your activities on the Website, including your preferences; and other logging information, such as the date and time of your visit. How does F&G use the information that it collects?

Except as described below or in our Policy Notice, F&G will not sell or share any of your personal identifying information with any third party without your consent. We will only use your personal identifying information we collect to process job applications, insurance applications, information requests, or to provide customer support. We may also use the information that we collect to process your account registration and to enable you to use certain features or to customize your experience on the Website.

How and when does F&G share information with third parties

We may share, as allowed by law, any information that we collect with third parties for a variety of purposes. Some examples of what we share include sharing information with service providers who assist us in our business operations. We may also share information where required by law or to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, subpoena, government request, or other legal process. We may also share information with third parties, including law enforcement, to protect our sites and applications and to enforce our Website Terms. We also reserve the right to share the information that we collect with our subsidiaries and affiliates and with any subsequent owner in the event of a merger, consolidation, sale of our assets or other changes in our business. Co-Branded Areas

We may provide certain parts of the Website in association with third parties, such as promotional partners. These “co-branded areas” will identify the third party. If you choose to use these co-branded areas, we may share your personal non-identifying information with the identified third party, and that third party may also collect information from you, in addition to the information that we collect, as described above. The Website may include links to third-party websites or other online services. We are not responsible for these other sites and services, and whether they may collect and use information about you. Third-Party Tracking and Do Not Track

Third parties may use tracking technologies in connection with the Website, which may include the collection of personal non-identifying information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to these third-party technologies because we may not control them, and we are not responsible for them. Do Not Track is a technology that enables users to opt out of tracking by websites they do not visit. Currently, we do not monitor or take any action with respect to Do Not Track technology.

How do users update their information

The Website may allow you to update your information, such as the contact information that you provide when you register for an account. You may also request that we update your information by sending an email to us at privacy@fglife.com. The Website may also allow you to update your email preferences. If you would prefer not to receive email newsletters or other messages from us, you may use the “unsubscribe” features that are included in such messages or contact us at privacy@fglife.com.

How does F&G protect your information

We use commercially reasonable and industry standard security technologies and safeguards to protect all the information that we collect and use. We also expect our service providers to protect all of your information in the same manner. However, no data transmission over the internet, mobile networks, wireless transmission or electronic storage of information can be guaranteed 100% secure. Please note that we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us.

Privacy policy for California Residents

This Privacy Policy for California Residents supplements the Privacy Policy of Fidelity & Guaranty Life Insurance Company and its subsidiaries (the “Company”) and applies to personal information of California residents to the extent the information is subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA). This privacy policy does not apply to personal information collected pursuant to (i) the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and its implementing regulations or the California Financial Information Privacy Act; or (ii) certain medical and health information covered by HIPAA.

Personal Information We Collect, Use, Disclose, or Sell

We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or household (“personal information”). Within the last twelve (12) months, we collected the following categories of Personal Information from the sources identified below for the business purposes indicated. When we disclose Personal Information to the third parties indicated below, we enter into a contract with that third party that describes our purpose and requires the third party to keep that Personal Information confidential and not use it for any purpose except in the performance of the contract. We have not sold or shared Personal Information in the past year.

In the preceding twelve (12) months, the Company has disclosed internet or other electronic network activity information to provide support, personalize, and develop our website.

F&G does not sell your Personal Information within the meaning of the CCPA. The Company retains your Personal Information for at least as long as required by statute or regulation.

Your Privacy Rights

You have the right to request that we disclose to you the Personal Information we collect, use, or disclose about you. You can also request that we delete your Personal Information, subject to certain legally allowable exceptions. Only you, or someone legally authorized to act on your behalf, may make such a request related to your Personal Information. You may also make a request on behalf of your minor child. Making a request does not require you to create an account with us.

When we receive a request, we will ask you for identifying information and attempt to match it to information that we maintain about you. We will only use the Personal Information provided in the request to verify your identity or authority to make the request. If we are unable to verify your identity with the degree of certainty required, we will not be able to respond to your request and we will notify you to explain the basis of the denial.

You should be aware, however, that California law allows us to retain your Personal Information under certain conditions, even if you have asked us to delete it, such as when retaining your Personal Information is necessary for us to complete a transaction with you or provide you with a good or service you have requested.

Using an Authorized Agent

You may use an authorized agent to submit a “request to know” or “request to delete” your Personal Information The authorized agent must be a natural person or a business entity that is registered with the California Secretary of State. To use an authorized agent, you will need to (i) provide written instructions to your agent and verify your identity to us or (ii) provide a power of attorney pursuant to California Probate Code Sections 4000 to 4465.

Right to Non-Discrimination for Exercise of Consumer Privacy Rights

We will not discriminate against you because you have chosen to exercise any of your privacy rights described above.

California Shine the Light

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine the Light” law, permits California residents who have an established business relationship with a business to annually request, free of charge, information about certain categories of personal information a business has disclosed to third parties for those parties’ direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year. F&G does not share or sell your Personal Information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Connecticut policy for confidentiality of SSN

Connecticut law requires any person or entity that collects Social Security numbers from ‎Connecticut residents in the course of business to create a privacy protection policy and to ‎publish or display it publicly.‎

It is the policy of F&G to protect the confidentiality of Social Security numbers in its possession from misuse and improper disclosure by maintaining and enforcing policies and physical and electronic safeguards against misuse and improper disclosure. Unlawful disclosure of Social Security numbers is prohibited, and access to them is limited to individuals and services at F&G that need access to such information for the purpose for which it was originally provided.

Living outside of the United States

Our Website is operated in the United States and intended for users located in the United States. The privacy and data protection laws in the United States differ from those of other countries. If you are located outside of the United States, please be aware the information that we collect will be transferred to and processed, stored, and used in the United States, and that by using the Website, you consent to such transfers and processing.

Children’s privacy

Our sites and applications are intended for general audiences, and we do not knowingly seek or collect personal information from children under the age of eighteen (18). In accordance with the Child Online Privacy Protection Act, in the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age thirteen (13) without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.

F&G is the marketing name for Fidelity & Guaranty Life Insurance Company issuing insurance in the United States outside of New York and, in New York only, Fidelity & Guaranty Life Insurance Company of New York. Each Fidelity & Guaranty Life company is solely responsible for its contractual commitments.
